Your PTA wants to run its color run fundraiser on RunPledge. Here is how student information, money and parent email are handled, in plain terms.
PTA presidents: forward this page to your principal.
Leaderboards, event-day displays and QR pages show first name and last initial only. Pledge pages do too, unless your school chooses full names for its campaign. Your school can turn the public leaderboard off.
Emails to families always use first name and last initial, whatever the campaign setting, because email gets forwarded.
Only signed-in school staff see full names. A school's roster and donations are visible to that school alone.
Student records belong to one campaign. No profile carries over from year to year.
RunPledge processes donations through Stripe. Your school or PTA connects its own Stripe account, and that is where every donation lands.
RunPledge emails every family from hello@runpledge.com: a kickoff with their child's QR code, four reminders, and a thank-you at close. On Free, the PTA handles its own communication.
Launch emails go out at 9:00 AM local time, never in the middle of the night.
When a parent unsubscribes, campaign email to that address stops. Receipts for their own donations still arrive.
On Premium, parents who reply with a question get an answer from RunPledge, not from your volunteers.
No contracts and no upfront fees. Your PTA chooses Free or Premium for each campaign. Eligible Premium campaigns are guaranteed at least $10 for each qualifying participant, with full conditions in our terms.
How plans and the guarantee workChase, RunPledge's founder, will walk you through it on a 30-minute call.
