How fees work. Two fees apply to every donation, and the donor pays both at checkout, on top of their gift. Your school receives the full amount pledged.

Stripe processing: 2.9% + $0.30. Schools and churches generally qualify for Stripe's nonprofit rate of 2.2% + $0.30, which is arranged with Stripe and isn't automatic.
RunPledge platform fee: 1% + $0.10 on Free. 10% on Premium.

Because fees are charged on the donor's total, the total is slightly more than the gift plus the listed rates. On a $50 gift, the donor pays $52.45 on Free or $57.75 on Premium at standard Stripe pricing, and $52.07 or $57.29 at nonprofit pricing.

Donors can also add an optional tip to RunPledge. It's never required and never preselected.

Everything you need to know about RunPledge

Each student gets a unique pledge link. Families share this link with friends and family via text, email, or social media. Donors click the link, enter a donation amount, and pay securely with any credit or debit card. The whole process takes less than 60 seconds!
Funds are deposited directly to your connected bank account through Stripe. Payouts typically begin within 7 days of each donation, and may arrive faster as your account establishes history with Stripe. No waiting for checks or manual processing!
On an eligible Premium campaign, RunPledge guarantees your school nets at least $10 for each qualifying participant. A participant qualifies when donations through their own pledge page total at least $5 at campaign close. If net donations fall short, we pay the difference by check within 30 days of close. To be eligible, your school must be on Premium by launch day and stay on it through close, have the guarantee confirmed for the campaign by RunPledge, have at least 50 participants, launch at least 14 days before the event, keep parent messaging running, and run the campaign to completion. Full conditions are in our Terms of Service.
No problem! Download your participant links as a CSV from your dashboard and distribute them however works best - printed flyers, text messages, classroom apps like ClassDojo or Remind, or word of mouth. The links work the same regardless of how they're shared.
Nope! There are no contracts, no commitments, and no upfront fees. You can cancel anytime. We believe in earning your business with great results, not locking you into agreements.
Absolutely! Each participant has their own unique link, so grandparents can easily donate to multiple grandchildren, and family friends can support several kids. Each donation is tracked separately on the leaderboard.
Yes, on every plan. Each donation carries a Stripe processing fee (2.9% + $0.30, or 2.2% + $0.30 with Stripe nonprofit pricing) and a RunPledge platform fee (1% + $0.10 on Free, 10% on Premium).
